For over twenty years, Cathy Zeis has been just about everything one can
be in the restaurant business, from bartender to general manager to restaurant owner.
She has served as corporate Chef for Albertson's Inc., is the host of Cooking with Cathy on KXII-TV in
Sherman-Dennison, Texas, writes the weekly column Cooking Corner for the Pottsboro Press newspaper,
operates Creative Cuisine catering service, is the award-winning author of Creative Cuisine: Ordinary Made Extraordinary,
and has launched her own line of all-natural salsas.
It's no surprise that Chef Cathy Zeis is a dynamic, energetic person whose enthusiasm is
infectious! Her philosophy: There are no non-fixable mistakes in the kitchen, unless you burn it.
Some of the best recipes come from mistakes. Never be afraid to try something new!
A graduate of The Art Institute of Dallas, Cathy has also worked as an award-winning television producer,
but creating cuisine has been her lifelong love. "God made me a chef," says Cathy.
"
This is my passion and what drives me. The support of my family, friends, and the love of my son is what drives me."
In her cookbook, Creative Cuisine: Ordinary Made Extraordinary, Chef Cathy
shares not only her gift for cooking, but a little bit of her soul. With Cathy, what you see is what you get!
